My Own Masterpieces is an exhibition of drawings, paintings and collages by Blue Room artist Tom Rooney that rethink familiar places. Drawing on his experience as a wheelchair user, Rooney invites us to view buildings and spaces from different perspectives and angles.
Tom Rooney is a member of Blue Room, Bluecoat’s inclusive arts programme supporting learning disabled and neurodivergent artists. Since 2021, he has developed his practice through Studio Me with support from artist mentors, facilitators and curators. His work is currently featured in the Bluecoat gallery as part of A Gentle Man (Part II) (1975-2029) by Becky Beasley.
