At Speke Hall: Alice May Williams: Speke of the Future

  • Fri, 23 Sep 2016 - Sun, 27 Nov 2016
  • 10.00 AM - 6.00 PM

Following a two month residency at Speke Hall, a rare Tudor timber-framed manor house restored during the Victorian era, Alice May Williams presents a new mixed-media commission that draws on the hall’s Arts and Crafts heritage.

Taking William Morris’s ‘News from Nowhere’ as a starting point, Williams imagines the potential futures of Speke Hall and the National Trust in the year 2200. Trust New Art is the National Trust's programme of contemporary arts inspired by place, supported by a partnership with Arts Council England. This residency is supported by Bluecoat’s off site programme.

Please visit the National Trust website for more information on this fantastic project.
