Christmas Market at The Pad

This Thursday, (13 December) there will be a Christmas Market at The Pad on Scargreen Avenue in Norris Green.

The Pad was an empty shop that has been used as a creative hub for young people aged six to 19 years old.

Run by ART Valley, a partnership project between the Everyman & Playhouse Theatres and the Bluecoat – together with Liverpool Youth Services, The Pad has already been highlighted as a key hub for creativity in the area for local young people.

For the Christmas Market, one of the groups who regularly use The Pad will transform it into a Grotto for Santa. There will be festive-themed performances and carolling from Lemmington and Florence Melly Schools Samba Band, Blue Green After-School Club's choir, Kinship Carers children and primary school choirs from around the community on a specially-created bandstand.

Councillor Alan Walker said: “This year’s Scargreen Christmas Market looks like being even more fantastic than the last year’s brilliant event. It is a great example of how the Norris Green Community gets together at this time of year to show off its special creative talents and strong community spirit.”
